Coaching is not psychotherapy or consulting.
Coaching is the process of helping individuals and teams to reach their full potential by helping them to both uncover life/ work/spiritual affirming solutions and to develop a clear plan of action to reach the goals they set. The client will understand that the door to their unlimited potential is within them and that only they hold the key to open that door.
The coach will support and respectfully engage/question/challenge the client as they discover their door and key, but will not offer advice or their own (limited) experience as a path way.
The coaching business is very broad and encompasses many different specialties. As a generally unregulated business, there is not a set of skills or a test that defines a coach.
There are, however, some key attributes that a coach should have including: respect for individuals, commitment to helping a client achieve her goals, curiosity, humility and truth seeking.
The coaching process will be fit for purpose based on the client’s need. A few things will be standard:
30 min free consultation to ensure fit
Personal Assessment/ Inventory
Intention Setting
Coaching Agreement
Coaching Feedback
Dr. Lisa Johnson Pratt is an experienced business executive, researcher and activist. She is also a trained physician in Internal Medicine.
After 20 years as a pharmaceutical industry marketing leader, Lisa decided to apply her skills building talent within organizations towards helping individuals. These skills include building high performing teams, coaching for performance and purpose, effectively managing matrixes and mentoring high potential employees.
As Lisa now turns her skills towards coaching individuals and teams, she is pursuing a coaching certification from IPEC, a leader in the coaching field.
All conversations between client and coach are confidential. This is critical to maintain integrity of the coaching process. If Ananias Coaching is retained by an employer on behalf of an employee, only general information about the ongoing coaching process and achievements to date will be shared. Specific and personal client information will not be shared.
This will be mutually agreed upon between the client and coach; however, the client should expect at least one 60 minute session per week.
The coach will be available for urgent issues that arise. This may be via text, email or a call as required.
The total coaching duration will be mutually defined between the client and the coach. In order to gain the benefits of coaching and to see tangible results, the client should expect to work with Dr. Lisa Johnson Pratt for at least 9-12 sessions.
If there are additional areas that the client would like to further explore, the coaching agreement can be extended.
At every point in the the coaching process, there will be clearly stated client goals and measurable objectives to ensure that the client gets value from the process.
Lisa has extensive experience coaching and mentoring high potential men., and she will coach men who are part of teams led by women or who are within the matrix of a female client. The coaching process will not be different and she is committed to ensuring that men receive the same high quality coaching experienced by her female clients.
Yes, but it’s very aligned with the coaching business.
Lisa recognizes that sometimes you just need answers. She can bring her decades of business experience to help you quickly move forward towards creating great teams and positive business outcomes. For example, in highly matrixed environments, Lisa can bring her ability to “read the room” to identify challenges, work with the team to look for solutions, and then coach the relevant leaders/members to create a sustainable and high functioning business team.
Lisa can also work with individuals to assess their vision/goals/ objectives, co-develop works plans and set them on a path to achieving their business goals through accountability monitoring—or coaching!
